Plastics recycling centre. Green PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic bottle pre forms being loaded into a granulator at a recycling centre. This facility recycles plastic products from numerous sources. It breaks them down and supplies the resulting regrinds, compounds and baled plastics to customers engaged in a wide range of activities from compounding, to bag blowing and injection moulding. Plastic bottles are the most commonly collected plastic packaging type. The bulk of bottles are made from PET or HDPE (high-density polyethylene), which account for about 90 percent. These pre forms will be made into small granules which will then be sent to processing for re use. Photographed at Vanden Recycling, UK.
